the bathroom walls
are the color of a German Shepherd
gray, white, dirty brown tiles
damp and cold
feet rest safe on an island of polyester
dog breath clouds the mirror
droplets roll down the walls
toilet paper sticks to itself
a dank smell mingles with lavender
perfume repelled and attracted
to the clean and unkempt
