The Creativity Fund

Kick-starter is a site that encourages people to back (financially) ideas they believe in, providing the funds and support creators need to bring a project to life.

The platform helps great ideas spread far and wide (and fast), with embeddable widgets, videos, groups, and ideas you can follow and share. It's interesting that projects must be fully funded before their time expires in order for funds to be disbursed..."allowing people to test concepts (or conditionally sell stuff) without risk. If you don't receive the support you want, you're not compelled to follow through." (Stimulating innovation through testing and public trials).

There are some really cool and interesting projects on the site, like
The Toaster with Two Brains. Read the tales from Retropolis here.

Trailer for "The Toaster With TWO BRAINS" from Bradley W. Schenck on Vimeo.

Healed! also has the makings of a great story.

Have fun finding/funding a project.
