Really digging Cadbury's Boosted Inspiration Series - satirical social commentaries and a cat in a hat. All in the name of candy.

Moreing

Hipsters gone wild for Cadbury. Irreverent and believable (until you're hit with Boost at the end).

Anyone who has laser bread as a pseudonym is right up my alley. Brock Davis turns breakfast into a truck stop for his kids. Pinched from Design Boom

My kids were grumpy at breakfast this morning, so I had this idea to make a quick banana peel trucker hat for the banana to wear using the peel of the banana. this cheered them up and it made the banana look relatively hip. simple project, takes about 5 minutes yet the memories will last a lifetime.

An oldie, but goodie. Author and visual artist Douglas Coupland hosted an interactive presentation on Marshall McLuhan and YouTube at The Waldorf Hotel around this time last year. A series of statements about the event were mounted on the outer events Marquee. Each statement was documented by media activist Kris Krug.

"Coupland, with the global success of his recent biography of McLuhan (You Know Nothing of My Work! James Atlas & Co., NYC) can offer us a more precise look at ourselves via the ultimate manifestation of the global village, YouTube. Expect a back-and-forth experience between the audience, Coupland and the world itself."

Read more about Coupland's biography of Canadian professor and communication theorist Marshall McLuhan at Paris Review.

I would love to write on Marquis and churches across the nation.

Summer's coming. Petra Collins photographs make me want to be in high school again, with nothing but the length of summer ahead; lazy days filled with Sunkist, Sun-in and pool parties. See more shots of 'magnetic paradise' here.

Wow, talk about writing, living, doing and being sabbatical. I've been chest-deep in work. And work can be rewarding, exciting and all-consuming. So here I am, with projects, ideas and guilt in tow. My list of things to do is calling me like call-center workers on speed with lots to sell. I will commit myself to one or two projects, so you may find a lot of regurgitated, curated and daily catches here. Although I am thinking about writing a post series story;)

I stumbled upon Apple's first day on the job welcome note. Your life's work must extend beyond the cubicle walls, but then again, I suppose it depends on what you do. I'm back in the striking a balance saddle, which skews even this warm and fuzzy message. You got to give it to Apple, they're good at getting people to drink their juice. Sweet and sticky.
