Is there anything more personal and private than a woman eating junk food while taking a bath? Lee Price paints realistic and intimate portraits based on photographs.

All the little people. Ministry of Sound Australia ditched the girls in bikinis, opting for plastic models instead. Found on Collider.

No silver bullet
Interesting print ad for Nike. It uses the attraction of quick fixes (as do some of their competitors), to draw you in, but then brings the truth home with a punchy tagline: This shoe works if you do. Nicely done.

Romancing the roach
Another great project on Kickstarter, a platform with an all-or-nothing approach to funding ideas. I'll be putting some kroners behind this one.

Alone
This beautiful and poetic video celebrates being alone (which doesn't always equate to loneliness). When you're alone, you have a chance to tune-out and reconnect. You stumble upon yourself, experience moments of clarity, serendipity. Most of all, you're able to create, write, explore, which often, if not always, has to be done in solitude. You don't stay alone in the zone. Characters, places and ideas become a crowd, like friends huddled around a blazing birthday cake.

Drain the Rainbow
A giraffe eats the rainbow, and a rasta milks it to make Skittles. He laughs. Heartily.

See no evil.
w+k's Evel Kneivel monkey disappears in response to PETA's complaints about using the confetti blower in the new Dodge ad. This quick reaction helped make these ads more popular (even Taiwan's NMA animated this story for their viewers).

Physical FourSquare Badges
FourSquare just launched an online store where you can buy t-shirts, stickers and almighty badges. I can understand the motivation to accumulate badges (sort of like a latent Girl Scout thing); it's cool to get rewarded for just showing-up. But will people actually start crowning themselves in the physical world, wearing badges on jackets and bags? Not sure, but looking forward to finding out.
According to the Foursquare team, those online badges might be linked to the real-life ones soon, unlocking accomplishments and so on. [...] Users can also vote for which design they’d like to see out in the store, so they’ve got that ‘social’ element covered. - Via Taxi.

Ze Man
This work may be somewhat under the radar, but I think the character and copy are great. Poke and Fallon are helping establish French Connection UK as a brand that understands the modern man through the Manifesto blog and a series of shorts which include the Kung Fu pigeon. The blog content is written by an editorial team with experience at Vice, The Face and The Juke. Nice one.

Out to Sea
You know when an artist calls himself an Alphastructaesthetitologist, the work will be interesting, if not good. In Jon Contino's case, it's both. The mix of hand-lettering, design and type make me feel ship bound.

Writing on the Wall
Hand-painted signs found on streets across the world are posted on TypArchive. Sample a few.
Amidst a landscape of vapid strip malls and sterile signage, hand-painted lettering retains a soulful aesthetic to be treasured. Like other crafts dissolving in the digital age, sign painting is a fading occupation. - RD Granados
